Volunteers:
¨ For every meet that you have volunteered to work any job, please check in with Sharon or Ann when you arrive at the poolon the day of the meet. You will receive a volunteer job sticker. Please do so before the meet, even if you are working the 2nd shift.
¨ If you can’t make a meet, please arrange for a replacement volunteer. Phone numbers and email addresses are available in the team handbook. Our parents are very nice and switching jobs works well.
¨ The new Highlands Swim Team website is up and running! Please check the website regularly for informational updates.
¨ Email is the most efficient way for information to be shared by our big swim family. Please check your emails often for info during the swim season.

Job Descriptions
Primary Jobs
Timers Use a stopwatch to time the swimmers. Three timers per lane at all meets. Give time to the recorders.
Recorders Write down the times from the three timers
sitting in front of you. Hand the written card to the runner.
Runner Relay the cards from the recorders to the desk area.
Desk Organize all cards from the event. Tally the scores and record them on the meet sheets. Worth two primary jobs.
Clerks of AKA – The Line-up People. Perfect job for those
the Course parents with Under 8 and Under 10 swimmers. Help line-up the younger swimmers in the proper lanes before each event.
Snack Bar Help serve all the hungry spectators at the meet!
Barbeque Man the barbeque to provide yummy food to the Snack Bar.
Snack Bar Using a list provided by the Snack Bar Coordinators
Provisions for each home meet, go shopping and bring the provisions to the meet.
Secondary Jobs
Setup Come to Highlands Pool before the meet to move tables and chairs to prepare for the meet.
Cleanup Restore the pool area to its original state by removing swim team items and moving tables into place. Done right after the meet.
Bathroom Check on the bathrooms during the meet to make
Monitor sure there are plenty of supplies.
